I started playing drums at the age of thirteen thanks to the influence of the Yardbirds.
At age fifteen I had my first drum set, a Ralston, and began in my first band, Constant
Splurge. We represented the Junior Chamber of Rhode Island (a/k/a JAYCEES) and
played in Raleigh, North Carolina. In my late teens I went on to play with Whisper playing
in Connecticut and New York. Other musical influences in my life have been Jimmy
Hendrix, Ray Charles, and the many Newport Jazz festivals that I snuck into. A self-taught
drummer, many years have passed and no matter what else has happened in my life my
drums have always been a constant. Now, thanks to a mutual friend of mine and the band,
I find myself playing again in “Connected The Band”.
